Fashion One clothing

The Italian brand has taken over the famous windows at London luxury department store Harrods for an installation running through October 19.

London's department stores are having a real moment right now. After Harrods' Pradasphere experience in May came the Selfridges celebration of all things Rick Owens, which arrived in the UK capital last month with a flaming statue of the designer. Now it's Stefano Pilati and Ermenegildo Zegna's turn, as the Italian menswear brand celebrates its Fall/Winter 2014 campaign.

Inaugurated Thursrday, the store's windows will show a film (also projected at the brand's show) created by astrophysicists Fiorella Terenzi and Neil deGrasse Tyson, with a soundtrack that blends recorded ambient noise from the streets of Milan, New York and Shanghai with Tchaikovsky.

The interactive elements to the windows include rotating digital shoes (the Zegna double-monkstrap 'Double Monk') which respond to the movements of passers-by, and 'Whispering Window' technology which shares the sounds of space with the Brompton Road shoppers.

To celebrate the project, Pilati has also designed the first ever Zegna 'house bag' which along with the Double Monk shoe are available in exclusive colorways at Harrods.
